Summary
As a business development manager, you will identify new business opportunities with the aim of generating revenue, improving profitability and growing the business. You will be required to develop and apply an effective sales strategy.
The goal is to drive sustainable incremental financial growth by generating new revenue, boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients;
You will also be responsible for defining long-term organizational strategic goals, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
Responsibilities
As a business development personnel, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Getting new business
- Revenue generation
- Developing a growth strategy focused on increasing revenues, profitability & customer satisfaction
- Researching and identifying new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
- Managing end to end sales cycles from demand creation, deal pursuit/management and contract closure
- Being the face of INEXEA to the market and helping position INEXEA as an industry leader and trusted partner
- Seeking out the appropriate contacts within organizations
- Meeting with prospective & current clients virtually, in-person or over the phone
- Relationship development & building, particularly with new & existing customers
- Taking full advantage of long-standing customer relations to effect referrals, to network within key international clients and to provide marketing intelligence with regards to trends & new developments
- Understanding customer needs & being able to effectively respond to them
- Providing RFP/RFQ/RFI responses
- Along the line, you may be required to
- build & potentially lead a business development team;
- train members of your team, & possibly organize external training where appropriate
