Summary
As a senior solution architect & business development lead (cloud/infrastructure), you will play a pivotal role in driving our cloud and infrastructure business forward. You will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative cloud-based solutions for clients, while simultaneously identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, strong business acumen, and proven leadership skills. You will identify new business opportunities with the aim of generating revenue, improving profitability and growing the business. You will be required to develop and apply an effective sales strategy.
The goal is to drive sustainable incremental financial growth by generating new revenue, boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients;
You will also be responsible for defining long-term organizational strategic goals, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
Responsibilities
As a senior solution architect & business development lead (cloud/infrastructure), your responsibilities will include the following:
- Solution Architecture:
- Collaborating with clients to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and challenges.
- Designing and architecting secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud and infrastructure solutions for clients across diverse industries
- Designing comprehensive cloud and infrastructure solutions that align with client needs and industry best practices.
- Developing high-level architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
- Staying abreast of the latest cloud and infrastructure technologies, ensuring solutions remain cutting-edge.
- Business Development:
- Identifying new business opportunities and cultivate strategic partnerships to drive revenue growth.
- Providing RFP/RFQ/RFI responses
- Developing and executing go-to-market strategies for cloud and infrastructure solutions.
- Leading pre-sales activities, including solution presentations, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives and decision-makers.
- Fostering strong relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor and technical expert.
- Project Management:
- Overseeing the end-to-end implementation of cloud and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Thought Leadership:
- Staying abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and market developments in cloud computing and infrastructure.
- Sharing insights and thought leadership through whitepapers, blog posts, and speaking engagements at industry events.
- Mentorship:
- Managing and mentoring a team of technical professionals (if applicable).
- Along the line, you may be required to
- build & potentially lead a business development team;
- train members of your team, & possibly organize external training where appropriate
